Designing Fun Activities for Your Preschooler At Home

Whether you are a homeschooling parent due to the pandemic or generally believe that the conventional schooling system is broken and damaging to your child, you as a parent have a duty to give your children the best learning experience they can have.

In order to make the home-school experience fun, we can’t have a study session the entire day. Scientific studies have proven again and again that making learning fun and entertaining is not only more effective in getting children interested in studying but is also great for their mental health and emotional development. Locking a kid behind books and boring videos all day is no good, and you as a parent should understand that. In this article, we will tell you some of the Preschool activities at home for you and your kids. The best part is that these activities for preschool kids can be done using materials you may already have at home!

1.  Unicorn Fizz:

For this experiment, all you need is some baking soda and vinegar! The process is very simple, prepare a few bowls or containers with white vinegar and mix in some colored glitters. You can now let the children express their creativity by mixing and matching the colors, and when you think they are ready, you can finally add the baking soda and watch the magic! The whole solution will erupt into a rainbow fizzy splendor that is sure to wow every kid. Oh, and don’t forget to tell them the science behind all of this.

2.  Homemade Playdough:

Playdough is one of the most fun Preschool activities at home for children to play around with clay and discover various shapes, colors, and scents. Homemade playdough is pretty simple to make. All you need is Flour, tartar, salt, water, oil, and any food coloring that you desire to add. Add all the ingredients to a saucepan and bring it to a boil. When the dough finally forms, store it in a cool container. When the playdough is ready, your kids are free to play with this.

3.  Finger Painting:

Sometimes, all that activities for toddlers at home need to do is to let them go crazy. Finger painting has been proven to be one of the simplest ways for children to discover artistic and motor skills. As a parent, all you need to do is provide them with the necessary painting supplies and a safe painting surface. Make sure to watch them carefully so that they don’t make a mess.

4.  Stretchy Slime:

A combination of corn starch and dishing washing liquid creates a goofy ball of slime. This slime is a fun little thing that is safe for all children to play around with. It is stretchy, colorful, and lasts a long time. Flinging and turning around the slime and even making one from scratch can entertain any child looking for preschool activities.

It is the responsibility of every parent to take care of their children’s demands. All work and no play make a child dull, which is especially true, even for homeschooling activities!
